Customers Explore Latest Technologies Through Federal-Mogul TTI Seminars
Dozens of Federal-Mogul customers from Bulgaria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia enjoyed an in-depth look at the latest trends in automotive powertrain and sealing technologies during recent visits to several of the company's production facilities in Germany.
The visitors, who were participants in the Federal-Mogul Technical Training Institute (TTI) seminar series, began with detailed sessions at Federal-Mogul's engine bearings manufacturing facility in Wiesbaden. Groups then proceeded to the company's sealing systems production centre in Herdorf, and concluded with a discussion and tour at the Federal-Mogul pistons plant in Nürnberg. By the end of their visits, customer representatives had enjoyed up-close looks at the design and production of Glyco® engine bearings, Goetze® and Payen® gaskets and Nüral® replacement pistons for the European, Middle Eastern and African markets. They were also able to see examples of the high-volume original equipment production that takes place at these plants and learn more about how Federal-Mogul's OE expertise enhances the design and quality of its aftermarket parts.
The seminars were coordinated by Udo Quambusch, Federal-Mogul TTI Manager, who said participants came away with a broad spectrum of new knowledge to help increase their sales of Federal-Mogul products.
"Our most recent visitors and all TTI seminar participants are generally impressed by how large and sophisticated each of our production facilities is," Quambusch said. "By attending these sessions, customers gain a much deeper appreciation of Federal-Mogul's global scale and extensive knowledge of the technology behind each of our brands and product lines. More importantly, t hey are able to utilise this knowledge to convince their own customers that Federal-Mogul is the right choice for virtually any repair."
