Expanded Champion® EON Plug Range Stands Atop the Market Again
Introduction of the revolutionary Champion® EON range of spark plugs redefined the premium ignition category at both the distributor and installer levels. Now Champion is doing it once again through the introduction of four new plugs that give the EON range the most efficient and effective coverage in the European market.
Champion EON spark plugs combine the latest Champion original equipment technologies with an extremely innovative engineering philosophy that enables distributors to achieve coverage of 95 percent of the European car parc with just 10 product references.
The result of an intensive R&D programme, Champion EON plugs provide a stronger and more focused spark, smoother idling characteristics, superior acceleration response, exceptional emissions efficiency, and important extra protection against cold fouling.

The four new Champion EON plugs are:
- EON 7 (707): C-Z skirted-shell VW group engines
- EON 8 (708): EA long-reach engines
- EON 9 (709): EC long-reach, 9>10 heat ranges
- EON 10 (710): A-type 6>8 heat ranges
These new plugs feature the same leading technologies that have helped the Champion EON product line establish a strong base of customers. These key technological features include: ribless racing-style anti-flashover C7000 ceramic material; wider gaps for superior performance; thin-walled copper centre electrodes for enhanced cooling and reduced gap wear; longer core nose and broader seat for expanded heat range; 5k ohm suppressor for smoother idling; and brass knurl for enhanced contact.
