‘Rock the Road’ Right Up F-M’s Alley for TROST-Schau ’09
TROST-Schau, one of Europe’s leading customer-sponsored shows, took on a decidedly American feel during this year’s event in Stuttgart with a “Rock the Road” theme celebrating the “hot rods” and iconic racecars of the 1960s-era USA.
Federal-Mogul took the theme to heart with an eye-catching Ford GT-40 racecar, a popular contest that challenged participants to perform the fastest possible brake jobs using Ferodo® pads on a modern Audi axle (the Ferodo brand is OE on Audi and other leading European platforms), and a slot-car race track award for customers who purchased product packages featuring BERAL® brake products, MOOG®
chassis/wheel-end components or Ferodo brake parts.
Considering that the Federal-Mogul team ran out of slot-car tracks by 1 p.m. on Sunday (having to order nearly 50 additional sets to meet demand), “Rock the Road” is exactly what Federal-Mogul did in Stuttgart.
