Greek Aftermarket Professionals Visit Gasket Facility in Germany
It’s often difficult to appreciate the sophistication of a vehicle component until you see how it’s made. This was some of the feedback from a group of distinguished Greek aftermarket professionals who recently visited Federal-Mogul’s Herdorf, Germany, Sealing Systems facility in conjunction with the company’s popular Technical Training Institute (TTI).
The guests from Greece enjoyed an extended tour of Federal-Mogul’s impressive multi-layer-steel (MLS) and fibre cylinder head gasket manufacturing operations. The tour was followed by a fascinating presentation on engine sealing technology by Federal-Mogul TTI Manager Udo Quambusch.
“Our visitors were amazed by the advanced technologies that are designed and built into every gasket manufactured by Federal-Mogul,” Quambusch said. “The questions asked by the group showed that they were acutely aware of the importance of relying on leading-edge sealing technologies in their own businesses.”
Also visiting Herdorf were two automotive journalists, who commended the Federal-Mogul team for organising a highly professional and informative event.
