Now You Can Rely on MOOG® for Wheel Bearings and Hub Assemblies
Federal-Mogul’s MOOG® product team continues to make life easier for repair professionals who are seeking a single source of innovative, original equipment-quality steering and suspension components.
The MOOG team has introduced a complete line of premium MOOG wheel
bearings and hub assemblies for the LV category. Featuring all four
OE-focused bearing types – Gen 0, Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 – the new
MOOG product range features all-premium steel and world-class designs
tested to the highest standards for performance and reliability.
Unlike many wheel bearing products, new MOOG bearings are packaged
complete with all required hardware and premium grease to ensure a high
quality repair in less time.
“Our decision to enter the wheel bearing category was based on a real
need in the market for a top-quality, full-coverage alternative that
can help speed the repair process,” said Didier Gilson, Federal-Mogul
product manager, CV and wheel hubs, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“Each part in this exciting new range features best-in-class materials
and designs. Our Gen 2 and 3 hub assemblies also incorporate the latest
integral sealing technologies to ensure long-lasting, trouble-free
performance.”
Each MOOG wheel bearing is manufactured to ultra-precise tolerances for
minimal vibration and longer life and features premium hardened steel
to provide increased strength and dimensional stability. Other premium
bearing features include crowned raceways and rollers to prevent load
misalignment; precision-matched rollers for reduced vibration; and
ultra-high-strength steel cages for longer life. The bearings are
enhanced through a sophisticated heat treatment process for maximum
material consistency and extended life.
New MOOG hub assemblies are required to pass a variety of punishing
durability tests before being approved for distribution. In addition,
each Gen 3 assembly features an OE-style ABS ring and other components
to prevent malfunction lamp warnings following installation.
